Mary Gohar

I have 20+ years working in the field of education and in the intergovernmental sector specializing in program management, training and development, and donor relations. I've been with the Data Science program since 2019 and oversee finance, operations, scheduling, student hiring, and also develop career support programs.
Prior to joining GW, I managed government portfolios and provided career guidance for international young professionals at UNICEF and other UN agencies. I also developed training programs for UNICEF’s first cohort of Youth Advocates and managed donor-funded grants. Previously, I was a founding teacher and member of the Board of Trustees at The Ethical Community Charter School in Jersey City, New Jersey where I led several initiatives on curriculum and instruction, staff development, and the cultivation of strong community partnerships.
I'm also a member of the National Career Development Association and am certified as a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) and Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP).
