Reza Jafari
Dr. Jafari holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University, an M.S. in Mechatronics and Applied Mathematics from American University of Sharjah and Oklahoma State University and a B.S. from University of Tehran in 2001. He is the publisher of multiple conference papers and journal papers in the field of electrical engineering. He also served as a peer reviewer for several journal papers, including IEEE Transactions, IJCNN and Automatic Control. Additionally, Dr. Jafari is the recipient of several awards, such as the Innovator of the Year Award in 2014 and 2016. He is also the program director and faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology Department at East Coast Polytechnic University, Virginia. His past appointments include Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Oklahoma State University.
Dr. Jafari's research interests include system identification and control using neural networks. He is also interested in numerical methods for the approximation of higher dimensional spaces. His Ph.D. dissertation is entitled “Stability Analysis of Recurrent Neural-Based Controllers."
In his leisure time, Dr. Jafari enjoys biking, hiking, swimming and skiing.
