MS in Data Science/Graduate Certificate in GIS

GW students participate GIS/Data Science field work

The Data Science Program and the Department of Geography work in conjunction to offer a dual Master of Science in Data Science and Graduate Certificate in Geographical Information Systems (GIS).

The graduate certificate program helps students acquire the knowledge and skills to move directly from the classroom into the workplace as environmental scientists, civil engineers and public health officials in the public and private sectors.

The curriculum guides students through all aspects of GIS theory and practice, from the science of cartography to database design and geospatial modeling.

"I enjoyed meeting and learning with my fantastic classmates who provided me with valuable insight during our group projects."
