Data Science Association
The GW Data Science Association (GW DSA) was founded in January 2020 by data science graduate students and alumni. Their mission is to build a bridge for all data science students, including alumni, with the larger data science community across the DMV (DC, Maryland, and Virginia) and to create a collaborative environment for all University students interested in the field of data science. Membership is open to any University student interested in Data Science.

I am currently pursuing an M.S. in Data Science at The George Washington University, with a strong foundation in Mathematics and Statistics from my undergraduate studies. I have previously interned as a Business Analyst and currently work as a Tech Support Assistant at the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences. My passion lies in applying data science to global economic, sports-related, and environmental challenges, as well as artificial intelligence and machine learning. Outside of academics, I enjoy attending social and cultural events, exploring new places, meditating, and reading books.
Remya R. Sulabha

I'm a Data Science Master's student at George Washington University. I have a strong background in Aerospace Engineering and experience in the Business, Oil & Gas, and Defense industries. Apart from my studies and work, I find joy in my guitar, art, and books. My current research focuses on merging technology and spirituality. As the Vice President of DSA, I'm really excited to lead and inspire a group of people who are just as passionate about data as I am.

I’m Wali, a current Master’s student in Data Science at George Washington University, building on my background in Computer Systems Engineering. I’ve had the opportunity to work on projects that focus on improving product visibility and operational efficiency. My experience includes working with organizations like PwC and Qatar Airways, where I helped develop data-driven strategies to enhance business outcomes. I’m passionate about using data to solve real-world challenges and am excited to continue applying what I’ve learned to make an impact in the field of data science. Apart from the tech stuff, I enjoy going to the gym and playing soccer.

I'm from Chandigarh, India, currently pursuing a master’s degree in data science. I did my undergraduate studies in computer science and engineering. My passion lies in leveraging my technical skills to create data-driven solutions that drive innovation. I’m particularly excited about applying ML and data science to solve real-world challenges. Outside of academics, I enjoy dancing, writing, and cooking!

I'm Bharat, a Data Scientist from Mumbai, India, with a passion for uncovering meaningful insights through data. Currently pursuing my Master’s in Data Science, I’m combining my experience with a deep interest in finance, where I’ve developed strong analytical skills. I love exploring financial markets and using data to make informed decisions. When I’m not working with data or finance, I enjoy swimming—it’s my way of staying refreshed and balanced.
Abishek Chiffon
Data Science for Sustainable
Development (DSSD) Chairperson
I'm a Data Science MS student at GW with about four years of experience in building and deploying machine learning models. I’m currently interning at Genmab, focusing on LLMs and health care. DSSD lets me contribute meaningfully to sustainability efforts. When I’m not typing away, I enjoy playing/debating cricket or chess, exploring cuisines, taking leisurely walks, or browsing for a good book on psychology, philosophy, or fantasy to escape the world.
