The 21-credit Minor in Data Science covers important concepts including R and Python programming languages, generation and presentation of data, data security and frontier research topics in real-world systems.

The minor is especially useful for students interested in combining data science with another field. Courses include Data Science for All: Ethical Life in a Digital World, Data Visualization for Data Science and more. Prerequisites in programming, calculus and statistics are required.

Due to the high demand for the Data Science Minor, the Data Science Program will not be accepting new applications for the minor until further notice.
